Nick Rowles-Davies is the founder and CEO of Lexolent.
Nick is a long-standing pioneer in the global litigation funding industry (legal finance industry), a seasoned executive director and CEO of capital firms, and a highly regarded author in legal finance.

Originally graduating from The College of Law in Chester, Nick led the transformation of the litigation funding industry in the UK and across the common law world globally. Nick has overseen some of the largest and most innovative transactions in the global sector — including a €45 million portfolio financing for a major FTSE 100 company and a £9 million insolvency portfolio deal with Grant Thornton — as well as numerous corporate portfolio-based investments around the world.

He served as Executive Vice Chairman of LCM from 2018–2021, the founder and CEO of Chancery Capital Advisors from 2017–2018, and he led Burford Capital PLC globally outside of the Americas as Managing Director and was a director at Burford Capital until 2016. Prior, Nick was the co-founder of Vannin Capital (2010–2014) and a Partner at Bridgehouse Partners (2004–2011).

Due to his global reach and impact in the litigation finance and global legal sectors, Nick is a regular public speaker and media commentator on the global legal matters, the litigation world, the costs regime, litigation finance, legal expenses insurance, and a wide variety of general legal matters.

Nick is the author of the landmark industry text Third-Party Litigation Funding, published by Oxford University Press in 2014. He is a contributing author to many other legal and financial books.
